Leading the Philanthropic Marketing for the Primary Children’s Behavioral Health Center Media Announcement, Beam Signing and Topping Off Ceremony

Summary

Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital and Community joined forces to Target Pediatric Behavioral Health Crisis with a $96 million new flagship campus, accelerated by $25 Million State Investment to Primary Promise.  

We’re expanding access to critically needed behavioral health services for adolescents with a new family-centered Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital Behavioral Health Center in Taylorsville, Utah.

This will be the first of its kind center to offer vital behavioral health services including a walk-in crisis center and Utah's first dedicated space for mental health crisis care for youth with autism and neuro-diverse needs


Involvement

The leadership on this project involved directing scripting for the media announcement to convey core messaging objectives, which included urgency and empathy surrounding behavioral health needs in our community. Work also revolved around designing production for beam signing and topping-off ceremony, and developing a formal program to celebrate the final steel beam placement.

Earned and partner media coverage of the announcement and topping-off, final beam ceremony included a 728 stories/segments,  a potential audience reach of 59.9 million and an ad value equivalency of $554K+

Expansion

Fifty percent more inpatient beds, including the state’s first dedicated behavioral health inpatient unit to care for youth in crisis with autism and other neuro developmental needs.

A new Crisis Walk-In Center, providing one streamlined access point for crisis care—and replacing local hospital emergency departments as a family’s only option during crisis situations. 

Scripting

Worked as the lead for the Behavioral Health Center Media Announcement Script, responsible for all drafting and review processes as well as designing accompanying on-screen graphics.

messaging strategy

Created the Messaging Strategy for the Behavioral Health Center announcement events, which include a major press conference, beam signing event, and topping off ceremony.

impact-driven materials

Directed the execution of public-facing Menu of Behavioral Health Services, designed and wrote the Internal Event Briefs as highly visual and accessible for multiple teams, and communicated impact and results to donors through Children’s Health Impact Report.

film strategy

Conceptualized the Event Wrap Up Sizzle Reel film for the three Behavioral Events to help communicate the core messages to current and prospective donors and audiences.
