Producing the largest philanthropic storytelling initiative ever undertaken at Intermountain Health
Summary
Create a cohesive, consistent, seamless system of in-depth narratives in each area of focus in Primary Promise, the multi-faceted plan of Intermountain Children’s Health to build the nation’s model health system— to propel the campaign forward.
The project was to create an inspiring, cohesive narrative series to potential donors to invest in Primary Promise, by gaining deep understanding of, and empathy for, the Circles of Care areas and the people impacted.
Involvement
My work centered around mapping opportunities for systemwide benefit and synergies, leveraging the brand of Primary Children’s and Primary Promise to help cultivate philanthropy at Intermountain and in our community.
As part of the work, I executed all production and coordination across clinical teams and filmmakers, as well as potential patient participants, to create an emotional journey through the eleven Circles of Care.
Execution
Launched the film series on-time and on-budget to help build momentum towards the grand opening of the Miller Family Campus in Lehi, February 2024.
Empowerment
Equipped the Intermountain Foundation major gift officer team with each Circle of Care film to assist with their donor conversations.
Collaboration
Executed the largest philanthropic storytelling effort in Intermountain Health history with a dynamic, multi-faceted team.
Marketing Plan
Architected a marketing plan for the film series outlining logic-versus-emotion balanced messaging to best resonate with donor audiences.

Produced a film series that covered topics such as Personalized Medicine, Newborn Intensive Care, and a Network of Care for Primary Children’s Hospital.
Each episode required careful planning and execution: making complex science relatable for donors, ensuring patient safety protocols were followed on set, and creatively illustrating a seven-state service area while staying under budget.

Why now? Put simply, it’s time. Our community is asking for a deep dive into HOW this campaign is different. How it will set the standard for pediatric healthcare in the United States, and how our efforts will impact generations of children to come. These films will be featured in TV ads, social media platforms, radio, billboards and everywhere you want to be.
